I'm going to split this up into sections, starting with his overall goal. Probably the biggest reason I dislike him is because of his plan, which makes absolutely no logical sense and completely subverts the point of his character for me. Sorry but this is going to be very long, and there will be spoilers for all games in the series. Please help me love Kokichi because I feel I'm missing out with so much in V3 by not liking him. I'm going to lay out some of my problems with Kokichi and his plan and I genuinely want you to refute and debunk me because I WANT to be proven wrong. Thanks to people on this sub I went from HATING Himiko to really liking her, and went from thinking that Kaede and Gonta were just OK to being some of my favourites in the whole series! I want that with Kokichi too, because while I can ignore certain characters I hate like Angie, I can't ignore Kokichi in the same way because of the plot and I really want some help in changing my mind. I love debating opinions about characters on this sub and I've had my opinions changed about many characters before. Byakuya and Nagito fill their roles so well and they really help make the games great for me, and I want to feel the same way about Kokichi, so I really want some help in understanding his plan and changing my mind on his character. I know that he is a very popular character, and I want to change my mind on him because I want to enjoy the game as a whole, and the deuterantagonists are a huge part of why I love the first two games. I replayed partly with the intention of trying to change my opinion on Kokichi, because I like all the games in the DR franchise but Kokichi really brings down my opinion of V3 overall which I really don't want. So I've recently replayed V3, it's been a while because there are two things that put me off the length of the game, and Kokichi Oma. It is not an adaptation of any game, and it is unrelated to the third mainline game, Danganronpa V3.
